This is NOT your typical assignment. It is WAY cooler. This is a mystery. To solve it, you need to know a lot about Europe's Golden Age, and how it affected global trade. So start with your textbook. You need to know what Philip II wanted - his hopes, dreams, aspirations, ambitions, etc.
You also need to speculate, based on historical facts, how other people (as in all over the world) with different perspectives would have felt about those hopes, dreams and aspirations. In other words, you need to know all about world history in the Renaissance.
